Student skill development and instruction.
Students with organizational, study, and homework skill deficiencies are guided and monitored to help develop their individual needs. Before school, during school, and after school support in these areas is available. Students are identified throughout the school year based on needs.
Learning Support and Instruction.
Students with specific learning needs who have been identified through a multidisciplinary evaluation are supported. Students are given the opportunity to work in one on one and small group settings with a teacher to support their individual needs. Progress is monitored on a weekly basis and instruction is modified based on the weekly progress.
In class accommodations and support.
Students with specific learning needs are given support in their academic classes. The intervention specialist coordinates accommodations and support with teachers through constant collaboration and progress monitoring. Project guidelines, daily assignments, in-class work, and testing can all be adapted (if necessary).
After school study sessions.
After school study sessions are available to help students organize, prepare, and complete homework and projects. Students are encouraged to participate based on their individual needs.
