Students of the Month–February

Last Thursday (March 1st), we honored our student athletes of the month for February. Congratulations to Tess Myers and Kyle Maziarz!

Tess Myers
10th Grade
Girls Basketball

Tess is leading the girls basketball team in scoring with an average of 13.6 points per game and is second in rebounding with 5.5 per game. In February she has scored in double digits multiple times including 17 in the WPIAL semi-final game against Central Valley. She is a big reason for the team’s 22-3 record and #1 seed in the playoffs. Her coaches say she never stops pushing herself to be better whether it is on the court or in the classroom.

Kyle Maziarz
10th Grade
Swimming and Diving

During the month of February Kyle qualified for the PIAA Championship in 1 meter diving and won the 2018 WPIAL “AA” Men’s Diving Title. He has also qualified in swimming the 50 Freestyle and assisted two more boy’s relay teams qualify for the WPIAL Championships. His impact goes beyond just his athletic accolades, as he has exceptional character traits such as perseverance, integrity, and sportsmanship. He leads by example and is the first to acknowledge his teammates for their success both in the pool and in the classroom.
